What: The copper line set is the pair of pipes between the outdoor unit and the indoor coil. Geary Pacific's manufacturer sheet, last updated Sept 25, 2026, lists Aeris Metals at an average 12.9% increase on line sets, effective Monday, Oct 5, 2026. Johnstone Supply Muskegon's public price page does not list that line.

So-what: A quote still using this week's line-set cost is short if your house passed the Geary letter and the job installs after Sunday. If your counter did not get the letter, do not add 12.9%.

Now-what: Before Monday, buy the line-set sizes you will actually install in the next 30 to 60 days, and only if your house is on that letter. Do not fill the rack with diameters you will not use. Ask the counter before you reprice a quote.

What: Last Wednesday the Geary sheet had no percent on Western Enterprises for Oct 1, and it did not list a Heat Controller increase that day. The same page, updated Sept 25, now does. Thursday, Oct 1, 2026: Western Enterprises 3%. Heat Controller, up to 5% on water-source heat pumps and residential geothermal only. That is the ground or water machine, not the air-source split. Nidec varies, and only on Embraco refrigeration compressors and condensing units. Precision Electric Motor Sales varies by product. No percent on either. Regal Rexnord 2.5% on select motors was already in last week's note. It is still Thursday. It is not new.

So-what: If you skipped Western because there was no number, there is one now, and it hits tomorrow. A geothermal or water-source quote that installs after Wednesday is light if your house passed Heat Controller. Up to 5% is not 5% on every model. Do not invent a percent for Nidec or Precision.

Now-what: Before you send a Thursday install quote, ask the counter what Western and Heat Controller did on your account. Buy the Western SKUs you use this month if the letter landed. Do not stock a varies line. Do not rebuy Regal motors you already picked up last week.

What: PECO is cutting residential natural gas rebate amounts for every request filed on or after Oct 1, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. (EST), as printed on the page. Install date and purchase date do not save the old rate. The page still lists today's amounts. Furnace, $350 if it is 95.0 to 96.9% AFUE, 2% air leakage or less, and an ECM blower. Furnace, $600 if it is 97% AFUE or higher, same leakage and ECM rules. Boiler, $350 at 90% AFUE or higher. Combi boiler (heat and hot water in one box), $1,000 at 94% AFUE or higher, and it has to be the main heat and the main hot water. Heating conversion to natural gas, $400. The new, lower amounts are not on the page. Electric heat pump and central air rebates on that same page are not in the notice.

So-what: A Southeast Pennsylvania gas furnace or boiler quote that assumes today's rebate is wrong if the request goes in Thursday. You are reading this Wednesday afternoon. The page says the cut is 12:00 a.m. (EST) tonight. Waiting to see the new dollar amount means you file at the lower rate, and PECO has not published that rate.

Now-what: If you have PECO gas customers with a qualifying paid invoice, file the rebate today, before the printed cutoff. The page says 12:00 a.m. (EST). Do not guess whether that is midnight on your clock. Do not guess the new amount. Do not tell an electric-only customer this cut applies to them. Skip it if you do not work PECO gas territory.
